Last week we reviewed the fourth web tool for cross cultural communication to cultures with a high score on the Power Distance behavior scale:
- Company Hierarchy
- Company Executive Photos And Videos
- Company Vision Statements
- Company Awards
Let’s look at the fifth web tool in this category:

Another web tool for cultures with a high Power Distance culture behavioral trait is:
- Titles for individuals associated with the company
Remember most English speaking cultures do not have a high power distance score. North Americans even go the opposite way and eagerly give nicknames to everyone they meet. Don’t forget to use titles where appropriate.
Cultures with a high power distance behavior trait respond well to being associated with these titles.
Let’s review the cultural behavior of high power distance behavior traits:

Highlight Use Of Titles
In these high power distance cultures you will want to find the right way to use:

- Education titles, such as Dr.
Remember to put titles for everyone where it is appropriate, and where you have names of people.
- In your contact information
- Organizational charts
- List of customers
